Materials for the barricade

The barricade itself is made from hardwood floor samples you can get for free at hardware stores like Lowes. They’re ideal because they turn out to be a perfect height of 4”, and they are made to conveniently snap into each other.

I spray painted them black, then lined the interior and top rim with black shelf liner. The curved sections are cut out of a PVC pipe with a 4.5” diameter.

The barricade is composed of 20 pieces, and each piece (except for those making right angles) can be separated. I reinforced the connections with pegs.
