- Body: R3-tech Kane (base). Custom outfit, glove, elbow pads.
- Legs: R3-tech Kane pelvic piece, series 5 RA Kane legs (base). Custom outfit, cankles removed.
- Maxi-bendation
This figure was a request. Lots of work went into it; I think it turned out nicely. Although the base is originally an R3 Kane, the mask was entirely reshaped with some putty and dremel work, the mouthpiece cut out and replaced with poor Charlie Haas.
I added real metal for the staples and slapped some paint on it:
Maybe the coolest feature of this custom is that real mesh was used instead of paint:
To secure the mesh to the legs I cut thin strips of plastic up around the perimeter and pinched it underneath them. That gives it a nice crisp look (at first I was going to keep the original red leg straps, but scrapped them later to match the body straps):
The buckles on the straps are also real metal. I used the eyelet holes in these pin thingies shown here:
Oh, and I thinned those damn cankles!
And, of course, he’s equipped with maxi-bendation, so he can do fun things like get gored to hell:
