Rhyno is a tricky figure to make. Almost everything about this figure is custom. The head was not originally compatible with the rest of the parts, as it came from an entirely different line of figures. The head, hair, and neck was one solid plastic mold:
The likeness of this head’s face to Rhyno is infinitely better than the head made by Jakks, which is a royal piece of shit. So I chiseled it out of the head-hair-neck mold and hollowed out a nice convex neck groove. The hair strands were taken from a Great Khali.
Rhyno has a unique body-type that I think this Big Show body could capture well with a few modifications.
Shave the singlet off, thin the waistline a bit, and take about 3mm off the bottom for height differential. This also captures Rhyno’s stalkiness.
Getting the Big Show pelvic piece, Tensai thighs, John Cena knee pads, and Brock Lesnar calves and boots to fit together nicely was a complicated task, and I don’t have the pics or desire to explain the process. The rough prototype:
Some paint and a few other tweaks hear and there and the rest is history.
